“The Ethereal Bond”

Callie, the majestic painted horse was called to Heaven, leaving her soul mates Pearl-the loyal donkey and Bella -the beautiful barn cat behind. They soon rejoice when God’s Angel reassures them that theirs is an endless and ethereal bond, that their hearts and souls shall always be together for eternity as love transcends space and time.

Donkeys are very special in God’s eyes as they signify peace. ‘ Twas once told that the reason purebred donkeys are born with a cross on their back is because it was a gift from God to the humble donkey that carried him into Jerusalem. When Jesus was ordered to be crucified, the donkey so loved the Lord that he wanted to help him carry the cross to Calvary. But alas, he was pushed away. The sad little donkey waited to say goodbye until nearly all had left- heart broken at the sight, he tearfully turned away from the cross, head bowed, braying sadly. The shadow of the cross fell upon him and from that day, all purebred donkeys wear the Master’s Cross upon their back.
A treasured symbol of God’s pure love for all of his creatures.
