Opossums are gentle, shy creatures who are very clean, generally harmless
& vital animals. They have different meanings & symbolism across the world.
In many indigenous cultures, opossums are considered sacred animals
representing wisdom, resourcefulness, cleverness, adaptability, protection,
resilience & shadow work(confronting&working through
one’s fears of negativity). They were thought to have helped humans,
were never known to be a threat, thus were never to be harmed.
Opossums are caring creatures, & are the only marsupials in North America
– another one of God’s little miracles.
Please be kind to this elusive, mystical marsupial,
