Text/description on back of card:

“Fear Not”

The artist believes that everyone is special in God’s eyes, rich or poor, including the animals. After all, the first ones to hear of the good news of Jesus’ birth were very poor shepherds watching over a special flock of sheep. A great army of Angels appeared saying, “Fear Not, for we bring you the most joyful news and it is for everyone! For unto you is born this day in the city of David – Bethlehem a Savior which is Christ the Lord. You shall find him wrapped in a blanket lying in a manger.,” Luke 2-12. The shepherds went to the manger and did see him for themselves. The artist believes that the shepherds were tending to special lambs very similar to Jesus. These lambs were destined for the Passover sacrifice. The shepherds now had the privilege of seeing God’s real lamb, Jesus, born to be the Passover sacrifice for the sins of the entire world. Not only would Jesus teach love & kindness to all creation, and be the savior of all souls, but animal sacrifices would no longer be needed. The artist believes that God never intended for bloodshed between anyone – not even sacrifices for repentance, but wanted people to learn from their mistakes so as not to repeat them. See Psalms 50:13-15, Psalms 51: 16-17, Isaiah 66:3. God loved all of his creation – see Psalms 104:10-33, and Gen. 1:29-31 & Isaiah 65: 25 (all should only eat herbs, fruits and grains & in paradise lions will eat straw, bringing no harm to anyone as before man’s original sin). In Numbers 22:21-34 Balaam admits his sin of hurting his donkey – and the Angel would have chosen to spare the donkey rather than a human. The Angels did indeed bring good tidings to all souls that night, including our special friends, the animals.
